Koh Samed is just 200 km from Bangkok in Rayong province. Koh Samed is classified as a national park and the area is protected.
There are 14 white sand beaches on the island, which is surrounded by colorful coral reefs, making it possible to snorkel and dive.
The most popular beaches are Sai Kaew Beach, Ao Phao beach and Ao Vong Duan beach.
The best time to visit Koh Samed is from October to May, but Koh Samed receive considerably less rainfall than Koh Chang in the summer, making the island possible to visit year round.
