This 4-day tour gives you a good insight into the beautiful northern Thailand. 

Look forward to experience a different side of Thailand. On the trip, you will see the beautiful white temple in Chiang Rai, Chiang Dao elephant camp, the Golden Triangle, and much more.

Day 1 (Lunch)

The day begins with pickup at your hotel, where you go to an orchid farm in Chiang Mai and enjoy the beautiful flowers. After this beautiful nature experience you visit Chiang Dao Elephant Camp and enjoy an elephant bathing. Then we will do bamboo rafting down the river.

We enjoy lunch and transportation to Tha Ton.

Check in at the beautiful hotel Maekok River Village Resort after which the rest of the afternoon and evening at leisure.

Day 2 (breakfast / lunch)

After breakfast we take a nice bike ride around in Tha Ton, where you can really experience the local life and scenic areas. After the bike ride we hop onboard a long-tail boat that sails on the Kok River to a mountain tribe, wich is a truly fascinating experience. Lunch will be served at Karen House, and then you have time to stroll around the hill tribe village before the boat sails back to Maekok River Village Resort. Back at the hotel you can attend a Thai cooking course.

Day 3 (breakfast / lunch)

After a good night’s sleep, we start another day of adventures. You get to drive through the mountains to Mae Sai, which is a border town of Burma. Here we stop, and you have time to consider and explore life in and around the border town.

When lunch eaten, the tour continues to the Golden Triangle where you will enjoy a boat trip on the Mekong River between the three countries of Burma, Laos and Thailand. After the boat trip there is time for a visit to the opium museum.

During the day you can also visit the long-necked women of the Karen hill tribe and / or visit Burma if you wish.

Day 4 (breakfast / lunch)

After breakfast, visit the ancient capital of Chiang Saen. Chiang Saen was before Chiang Mai, capital of the ancient Lanna kingdom that existed in Northern Thailand at the same time as Sukhothai.

You then travel to Chiang Rai, where to experience the beautiful golden and very different White Temple (Wat Arun).

When you have eaten lunch we continue on a relaxing bike ride around Chiang Rai with a local bicycle taxi.

The tour ends with transfer to the airport or your hotel in Chiang Rai, or you can choose to go back to Chiang Mai.
