During May months we still had quiet many clients visiting the island with most hotels offering very good prices and nice weather.
Most boat trips and dive shops also stayed open until mid / end May, before closing down for the summer.

June months became extremely quiet and most hotels was only occupied with 10-20%. Only a few dive shops are still open and many days they can not go out on the ocean because of the weather.

The government is now making the road wider on each side from the main village Saladan along the road up Klong Dao Beach. The plan is to make a walk way as well along the road, so that the clients in the hotels on Klong Dao Beach can walk easily to Saladan. Also they plan to make light along the walk way. All this should be ready for the next high season.

Most resorts on Ko Lanta has for the low season put up green nets to project their resorts against the strong monsoon wind.

News: Klong Khong Beach / Klong Nin Beach / Klong Hin Beach
With the rain falling in June we now start to have water in the biggest waterfall on Ko Lanta again. The waterfall is located in the south end of Ko Lanta with a walk of 25-30 minutes up in the jungle.

Trekking is a great activity to enjoy during the summer on Ko Lanta where the jungle are greener than ever. Evolution Tour offer the clients a jungle tour on the middle of Ko Lanta close to the Mai Khao Cave and at the end of the trips we can show the clients the bats that are living inside the cave.

Clients can also visit the national park in the south end of Ko Lanta with the famous light house. The road leading down to the national park is very bad, so it is recommend to have a good car or even work the last 1-2 Kilometers down the mountain. There is also a beach in the national park, so it is possible to make a picnic on the visit.
