The wind changed in the beginning of November and Ko Chang is now very sunny with a cold wind in the evenings. The ocean has been a little wild in the beginning of November with big waves, but now the ocean is calm again and it is peak season for the diving and snorkels companies.

New on Koh Chang Island:
Soon Ko Chang will have the first branch of a fast food chain. Chester’s Grill is planing to open in White Sand Beach next to 7-eleven on 18/11 2008.

Also a Chester’s Cafe will open on 18/11 inside Changburi Resort in the south end of White Sand Beach.

Koh Chang General:
October and November has been busy on Ko Chang and the high season with the great weather is now back. All the dive companies are now open again and the snorkel boats like KONTIKI and THAI FUN is now running again. Also the speedboats are back on Ko Chang, so there is a lot of activities for the clients on Ko Chang and the southern islands for the visitors to enjoy.

This year Loy Kathong Festival was on 12 November and most of the bigger resorts had all arranged beautiful dinners. Many people went as usual to White Sand Beach to have dinner on the beach and enjoy the fantastic fireshow in front of Sabay Bar as on the picture below.

The islands biggest temple in Baan Klong Prao had for the Loy Kathong Festival arranged show every night. The temple festival was from 08/11 – 12/11 and it was also possible to eat in the temple and play games.

The small airplane station is now open again on Koh Chang and has made a new website: ttp://www.ultralightthailand.com/
Prices will be the same as last year with 1.750 THB for 15 minutes sightseeing.

News: White Sand Beach:
The new part at KC Grande Resort has now finally open after 1,5 years construction. The new part is very nice with Superior and Deluxe rooms and offers one of the biggest pools on Ko Chang. For more info visit their website here: http://www.kcresortkohchang.com/

News: Klong Prao Beach:
Klong Prao Beach is also busy now with many small restaurants and bars opening along the beach. Specially in the north end next to Coconut Beach Resort and Paradise Resort there is many small restaurants with BBQ and fireshow every night.

We also have a new Indian Restaurant in Chai Chet in the north end of Klong Prao Beach. The restaurant is called Taj Mahal and is very close to the resorts; Paradise Resort, Koh Chang Resort, Klong Prao Resort and Coconut Beach Resort.

News: Kai Bae Beach:
The new 5 star resort “The Chill” has now opened on Kai Bae Beach, but is not yet 100% complete. The rooms and the pool is ready, but they are still working on the restaurant and garden.
