Loy Kratong was on 24 November this year and a big event on Ko Chang with the yearly temple festival in Klong Prao and most hotels had beautiful arrangements on the evening of Loy Kratong. On White Sand Beach many people send up balloons as on the picture below.

New on Koh Chang Island:
The construction of the public walk way down to White Sand Beach is finish and people can now easy enter the beach area from the road.

Koh Chang General:
The island has become very busy from beginning of November and most hotels are full in the moment.

New construction has started in the middle of White Sand Beach between the Koh Chang Lagoon Resort and the Kacha Resort & Spa. The construction is of a new shopping plaza that will connect the south end with the north end of White Sand Beach.
In the moment they are taking away all the stones from the land with excavator and is very noise in the area of Kacha Resort.

Bangkok Airways has started the flight of PG305 / PG306 again and we now have 3 flights per day again between Trat Airport and Bangkok International Airport.

All the schedule boats between Ko Chang and the southern islands has started again with daily boat from Ko Chang and the mainland to Ko Mak and Ko Kood.

News: Klong Son & the eastside:
Salak Kok Kayak Station on the east side now also offer sunset cruises in the mangrove forest with dinner being served on the small boats.

News: White Sand Beach:
KC Grande Resort is building a new hotel part at the entrance of the resort with a 3 floor building, which is planed to end mid 2008.

White Sand Beach is very busy now and every night many people comes to the beach to enjoy dinner in the sand and see the famous fire show around Sabay Bar in the middle of White Sand Beach.

News: Klong Prao Beach:
Klong Prao temple was the center as every year during the Loy Kratong period with the islands biggest festival from 19/11 – 24/11 2007.

News: Kai Bae Beach
Kai Bae Beach is also very busy now with many people from the big resorts; The Dewa Resort, VJ Hotel and Amari Emerald Cove Resort is walking over to Kai Bae Beach in the evening for shopping and dine.

News: Lonely Beach/Bailan Beach/Bang Bao:
Dusit Princess Resort open on 1-November, but is still not 100% completed with only parts of the resort open until beginning of 2008/

News: Other Islands:
Ko Chang National Park offers some of the best snorkeling in Thailand and all the boat companies has started running again since the beginning of November. The Thai Fun Cruise and the Luxury Cruise Kontiki both started operating on 6-November. Sea Adventures with there cataman is also running now. During November the wind was very strong, so it was not possible to go out everyday.

Koh Mak Resort on Ko Mak has completed the new beautiful pool and the new Sea Villa’s will be ready mid December.
