New on Koh Chang:
Old friends of Evolution Tour; Ben & Kriszti Steenstra from Holland, which has been visiting Koh Chang since 2003 has together with Proudly Open Minded build a small private school on Koh Chang island. The small school is located behind Baan Klong Prao and is mostly for poor Cambodian children, which parents mainly work in the construction industry.

News: Eastside:
The eastside is changing a lot this year with new apartments and homes for sale as the land is cheaper on this side of the island.

Also a new shooting range has open on the east side.

In the Salak Khok mangrove forest people can try traditional Thai boats. Evolution Tour is offering this tour on our Unknown Koh Chang trip.


Koh Chang General:
February was still busy on Koh Chang, but March has been very quiet compare to last year.
- Mid March the Thai school holidays started until mid May and the weekends will be busy on Koh Chang with many Thai families visiting the island.

Bangkok Airways is continuing canceling many of their flights. This means that we on most days only have two flights operating, which is the morning flight PG301/PG302 and the early afternoon flight PG305/PG306.
- The evening flights PG307/PG308 has been cancelled on most days.

News: White Sand Beach:
The nearly 2 years of construction in the middle of White Sand Beach by Lagoon Resort is now finish and new shops has already open up under the new hotel rooms. We got banks, optics, etc located here.

A little outside White Sand Beach more rooms are being build.

News: Klong Prao Beach:
New elephant camp has open in Baan Klong Prao close to the biggest waterfall ”Klong Plu”. We now have 5 camps on Koh Chang with one in the north and 4 in Baan Klong Prao.

News: Southern islands:
Koh Kham in front of Koh Mak island is under construction and will soon be Ananya Hideaway Koh Kham with 25 Beachfront Villas.
