One danger in the ocean is the current, which also is one of the biggest dangers all over Thailand. This is specially doing the summer period, when the ocean is wild. The Government has on Koh Chang put up signs as below all over the island in English, German and Thai and we can see already this year that the signs has safe life’s.


New on Koh Chang:
Since beginning of September 2009 Ko Chang has had a new golf driving range in the north end of the island in the small village of Klong Son.

Koh Chang General:
The weather was extremely good in August with a lot of sun and calm ocean, which made it perfect for diving and snorkeling. In the beginning of September more rain has arrived and we normally do get a lot of rain in September.

Since mid of September the weather has changed to sun and calm ocean. This could mean an early end of the monsoon season this year.


News: White Sand Beach:
Kacha Resort is soon finish with it’s new hotel part on the other side of the road (Hill Side Wing). In front of the Hill Side Wing new shops has been build and the first new shops are already open.

News: Klong Prao Beach:
V-mart in VJ Plaza on Klong Prao Beach and on White Sand Beach is the biggest supermarket on the island. They are now making the shop in VJ Plaza even bigger and will open the new unit in end September 2009.
