The weather has been up and down with a lot of sun, but also daily rain. The ocean is still calm and perfect for snorkeling and diving at the surrounding islands.

Link: http://www.kayakchang.com/  Koh Chang General: April was still busy with many Thai groups visiting the island doing the public holidays and specially the Thai New Year (songkran festival) was a very busy period on the island. But after the schools open again around start/mid May the island has been very quiet and beaches as White Sand Beach and Klong prao Beach is nearly empty and perfect now for people seeking peace and quietness as the weather is still perfect with sun and calm ocean.  On 19-May 2009 the Fourth annual Underwater Cleanup was held at Bang Bao Pier in the south end of Koh Chang. Several dive company and locals joined the event to help clean up the ocean south of Koh Chang in the National Marine Park.  News: White Sand Beach: A new jewellery shop has open in White Sand Beach just nest to Chester’s Grill by the name Expert Gems.  Just a little outside White Sand Beach in the south end a new hotel has open in beginning of May be the name Keereele Koh Chang Hotel. News: Klong Prao Beach: The walk is around 30-40 minutes with great view on the ocean and can be enjoyed by everyone.
