White Sand is the place where it all started and is still today the busiest place on the island.
Here you’ll find most of the Banks, shops and restaurants. It is also at White Sand beach that everyone meets at night.
Here there will be restaurants at the beach and everyone meets for BBQ and fun. On the beach you can experience a
fire show every evening and live music at Sabay Bar and up the road at Oodies bar.

A bit more south you will find the largest beach of the island, which is called Klong Prao Beach. It is about 4 km. long
and this is where most of the biggest hotels are located. Klong Prao Beach is much quieter than White Sand Beach
and you will find many areas of the beach where there aren’t any hotels or restaurants.
In front of Klong Prao Beach you will find the small islands Koh Yuak and Koh Pli, which are good places for snorkeling.
There are two small rivers which come from the mountains and empty into the ocean of Klong Prao Beach.
You can explore these with canoe and see som of Koh Chang’s bird species.

Further down the west coast is the beach Kai Bae Beach, which reminds a lot of White Sand beach.
Here you’ll find many good restaurants and bars, but the beach isn’t as good as White Sand beach,
so everyone will meet here up the road. During the last couple of years this area has gotten a lot of new shops
and is today one of the biggest shopping area on the island.

All down south you’ll find the beach, Lonely beach, which is the backpackers paradise.
Some of the most famous backpackers places in Lonely Beach is Tree House, Siam Hut and Siam Beach.
Here you find rooms for 100-300 THB per night only. Lonely Beach isn’t really lonely anymore,
but if you like backpacking with various parties and atmosphere, this is absolutely worth a visit.
